Nitish Kumar Inspects Simaria Ghat, Directs Officials for Seamless Chhath Puja Arrangements

Begusarai, Bihar: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the newly constructed Simaria Ghat in Begusarai district today to review the preparations for the upcoming Chhath Puja, a festival deeply rooted in Bihar’s cultural heritage. During the inspection, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and convenience of devotees.

Nitish Kumar instructed officials to make adequate arrangements for lighting along the Chhath Ghat and the surrounding routes, enabling easy access for the large number of devotees expected to participate in the rituals. “Adequate lighting should be arranged on the Chhath Ghat and the routes so that everyone can reach the Ghat easily,” he said.

The Chief Minister also lauded the transformation of Simaria Dham, calling it a “beautiful place” with all essential amenities now available for devotees. His visit reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining the sanctity of the festival and ensuring a seamless experience for worshippers.

With the Chhath Puja approaching, Simaria Ghat has become a focal point of activity in the district. Officials have been directed to prioritize cleanliness, safety, and the efficient management of crowd movement to uphold the spirit of the festival.

Chhath Puja, celebrated with immense devotion, involves rituals performed on the riverbanks, where devotees offer prayers to the Sun God. As one of the most significant festivals in Bihar, the event draws millions of participants, making adequate planning essential for its success.
