NDA led by Nitish Kumar will form the government: Newly appointed Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal

by Aastha Chawla

The NDA will constitute the government of Bihar, according to statements made on Friday by Dilip Jaiswal, the recently appointed president of the Bihar BJP.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will lead the campaign in the next assembly elections.

In an interview with ANI, the president of the Bihar BJP stated that Mahagathbandhan will not be able to face the NDA in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.

“I can assure you that Mahagathbandhan would not be able to stand before the NDA in the Assembly elections.

In 2025, we shall elect a majority government led by Nitish Kumar. We only lost 3–4 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, but it wasn’t because of political issues, he claimed.

The chief of the Bihar BJP claimed that the state’s citizens are aware of the real nature of the Rashtriya Janata Dal.

“The public is aware of RJD’s appearance and personality. They are either Yadav-loving or Muslim. They would have brought more learned individuals than Tejashwi Yadav if they had truly loved Yadav. Under Nitish Kumar’s direction, the NDA will contest in the next elections,” he continued.

He also expressed his gratitude to the party’s leadership for choosing him to lead the Bihar BJP.

“I express my gratitude to the party leadership for selecting me to lead the Bihar BJP. The party has advanced to a new level thanks to the leadership of the late Sushil Modi, Sanjay Jaiswal, Samrat Choudhary, and Nityanand Rai, Dilip Jaiswal said to sources.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary was replaced as president of the Bihar party unit by party leader Dilip Jaiswal, who was named by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday.

“Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda has appointed Dilip Jaiswal, Member, Legislative Council, as President of Bharatiya Janata Party Bihar State,” the party announced on X.

Jaiswal is originally from the Khagaria region of Bihar, where he currently serves as the Minister for Revenue Land Reforms.

New state in-charges have also been declared by the BJP in the interim. Assam, Atul Garg of Chandigarh, Arvind Menon of Lakshadweep, Radha Mohan Das Agarwal of Rajasthan, Arvind Menon of Tamil Nadu, and Rajdeep Roy of Tripura have all been given administrative duties by Harish Dwivedi.

Bihar’s assembly elections are anticipated to take place in October or November of 2025.
