Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Tuesday that an additional amount of Rs 250 would be given to Ladli Behnas’ bank accounts in addition to the monthly help of Rs 1250 in the forthcoming August month to commemorate Raksha Bandhan.

CM Mohan Yadav also urged ministers, MLAs, and other public leaders to celebrate Rakhi with Ladli Behnas in their respective localities.

“The month of Savan has begun, and we are fortunate to have a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Madhya Pradesh. In the month of Savan and on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the state government would send an additional Rs 250 apiece into the bank accounts of Ladli Behans in the forthcoming month of August. This sum would be in addition to the Rs 1250 per month (payable to each recipient of the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’),” CM Mohan Yadav told sources.

“On the basis of social brotherhood, I expect all our ministers, MLAs, MPs, Councillors and all public representatives to celebrate Raksha Bandhan in their respective areas from August 1 to August 21,” the CM stated.

He also advised everyone to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with great grandeur with the sisters. The CM also greeted all the women.

“Raksha Bandhan is an excellent event for brothers and sisters. Let us celebrate this event with considerable fanfare. “I extend greetings to all the sisters,” CM Yadav said.

Every year in India, the Raksha Bandhan holiday is performed to commemorate the everlasting relationship between brothers and sisters, which is symbolized by sisters tying Rakhi to their sibling’s wrist.

Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the full moon day, or Poornima Tithi, of the Shukla Paksha in Shravan Maas (Sawan month).
