CM Mohan Yadav Celebrates Vishwakarma Jayanti, Honors Contribution of Vishwakarma Community
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed a traditional puja of Lord Vishwakarma at his official residence on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja. The ceremony took place in the technical room of the Chief Minister’s residence, where Dr. Yadav honored Lord Vishwakarma, the revered deity known as the supreme architect of the universe and the creator of mechanical science and architectural Vedas.
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the significance of Lord Vishwakarma as the patron deity of fields such as construction, craftsmanship, and engineering. “Lord Vishwakarma is worshipped by millions in industries related to machinery and craftwork. His contributions to the advancement of technology, skill development, and craftsmanship have played a crucial role in shaping our nation’s progress,” said Dr. Yadav.
Dr. Yadav further highlighted the hard work and dedication of the, acknowledging their significant role in the development of India. “The Vishwakarma community’s devotion to their craft and the high standards they maintain in workmanship have been instrumental in the country’s growth. Today, we celebrate not only Lord Vishwakarma but also the immense contribution of this community to the nation’s infrastructure and technological advancements,” he remarked.
A Day of Religious and National Significance
The Chief Minister pointed out that the day held dual importance as it coincided with both Vishwakarma Jayanti and Anant Chaturdashi, a major Hindu festival celebrating Lord Ganesha and Lord Vishnu. “It is a pious day, as we are honoring Lord Vishwakarma, the founder of Shilpa Shastra (the science of architecture), while also celebrating Anant Chaturdashi, which marks the immersion of Lord Ganesha. On this special day, I pray for the prosperity and well-being of all the people in Madhya Pradesh,” said Dr. Yadav.
Celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Birthday
In addition to the religious celebrations, Dr. Yadav also took a moment to recognize the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who shares his birthday with Vishwakarma Jayanti. The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Modi for his initiatives like the Skill India campaign, which has made millions of young people in India self-reliant.
Dr. Yadav emphasized the significance of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, a program launched by Prime Minister Modi in 2023. With an investment of ₹13,000 crores, the scheme aims to empower the Vishwakarma community by offering them financial support and skill development opportunities. “This visionary initiative by Prime Minister Modi aims to economically uplift the Vishwakarma community and enhance their craft and technological skills,” said the Chief Minister.
Madhya Pradesh’s Commitment to Vishwakarma Yojana
Dr. Yadav reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to the 100% implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana in Madhya Pradesh. “We are fully dedicated to ensuring the successful execution of this scheme. By providing skill training and financial assistance, we are helping the Vishwakarma community refine their expertise and improve their livelihoods. This is already making a significant positive impact on their lives,” Dr. Yadav stated.
He concluded the event by urging the people of Madhya Pradesh to join hands in building a prosperous state and expressed his hopes for continued success under the Vishwakarma Yojana. “As we celebrate this auspicious day, let us all come together to work towards a brighter future for Madhya Pradesh, filled with growth, development, and self-reliance for all,” he said.
