Kajol shared a heartfelt post on social media, fondly recalling her recent reunion with Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar at the 2025 Filmfare Awards.
Kajol, a Bollywood superstar, recently shared a sentimental post on her social media account, reflecting on her reunion with Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar at the Filmfare Awards 2025.
She wrote a heartfelt note, describing it as one of those rare evenings that felt “magical and imperfectly perfect,” just like their movies. She stated, “I was compelled to compose a #whathappenedthatnight post… it was awe-inspiring and magical, and it evoked a plethora of memories!” I believe you all experienced the love and hilarity that was in the air as well. I am extremely pleased that I donned Manish Malhotra’s saree, which was nearly identical to the one I wore in the song “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.” “It was an imperfectly perfect night, just like our movies!”
In the video reel that Kajol shared, she was observed strolling hand in hand with Shah Rukh Khan on stage, as well as dancing to some of the most iconic songs, reenacting some of their most iconic movie moments. The audience erupted in applause as the duo, joined by Karan Johar towards the end of their performance, hugged and laughed. This sight immediately transported fans back to the 90s era of “DDLJ” and “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.”
The post includes a medley of timeless hits, including “Sooraj Hua Maddham” from “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham,” “Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai” from “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” and the unforgettable “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge” track, which Kajol performed alongside SRK. Shah Rukh Khan disclosed onstage that Kajol had been ailing for an extended period of time; however, she continued to travel to Ahmedabad, where the performance was being held, at his request.
“Despite her illness, she responded positively immediately, and I am deeply appreciative of her kindness,” he stated, eliciting a thunderous round of ovation from the audience. Kajol’s social media posts also included behind-the-scenes glimpses, a heartwarming hug with SRK and Karan Johar, a monochrome throwback of her and SRK clutching Filmfare trophies from their early years, and new snapshots with Anupam Kher and her team.
Kajol’s vintage appeal was evident as she donned a black sequined Manish Malhotra sari, evoking a sense of nostalgia, laughter, and warmth throughout the evening. A visual treat for “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge” fans was created when Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were subsequently joined by Karan Johar and Anupam Kher on the Filmfare stage after their performance.
