So, one more eagerly awaited film to make it to the screens in January is top Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut’s ‘EMERGENCY’, to be released on January 17, 2025. The film covers the months of the Emergency of 1975 in India. This film is highly anticipated due to its political theme and Kangana’s portrayal of a powerful political figure. After numerous complaints and numerous edits, the Central Board of Film Certification has finally granted the censor certificate for the political thriller Emergency, starring Kangana Ranaut. The film, which included former prime minister Indira Gandhi and the contentious emergency of 1975, drew criticism from Sikh advocacy groups and served as a platform for political allegations. Emergency is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical political drama film directed and co-produced by Kangana Ranaut, based on a screenplay by Ritesh Shah and story written by kangana Ranaut . It portrays the life of Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, during the time of the Indian Emergency. Besides Kangana Ranaut, the film will also feature Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and Satish Kaushik in main roles. It is Based on true events that took place in 1975, while Mrs Indira Gandhi was in power, one of the most powerful women in Indian history, with this kind of chronicling incident. The film features songs composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with the exception of one song by Arko. Film score composed by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara. Manoj Muntashir penned the lyrics. The first single “Singhasan Khali Karo” was unleashed on 26 August 2024. After its run in theatres, the movie will be released for streaming on Netflix globally.

GAME CHANGER

The acclaimed S. Shankar-directed picture “Game Changer,” which was one of the first big releases of the year, finally debuted in theaters on January 10, 2025, which also happened to be the Sankranti holiday. Since then, it has become one of the most talked-about movies of the year. In this eagerly awaited political action thriller, Ram Charan plays two parts: that of his father, Appanna, and that of Ram Nandan, an honest IAS officer who is committed to overthrowing the corrupt political system. As Ram battles a strong Chief Minister (SJ Suryah), the movie centers on the issues of justice and corruption.
Game changer story : Despite having anger management issues, Ram Nandan (played by Ram Charan), an IPS officer who is now an IAS officer, is a man of integrity. He aspires to serve the people as best he can and lead a Vizag free from corruption. Meanwhile, as his wrongdoings catch up with him in old age, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Satyamurthy (Srikanth) undergoes a change of heart. Mopidevi (Suryah), Satyamurthy’s son and a corrupt politician, is enraged by both and seeks power at any costs. What occurs if Ram and Mopidevi are pitted against one another?
In addition, SJ Suryah plays the antagonist Chief Minister Bobbili Mopidevi, Prakash Raj, Kiara Advani as Ram’s love interest, and Anjali as his mother. Additionally, Thaman S. created a stirring music for the film that has been favorably received by viewers.

FATEH

The movie starring Sonu Sood, a Bollywood celebrity, will be out in January. The premiere date of the movie, “Fateh,” is January 10, 2025. Sonu Sood and Jacqueline Fernandez will be present.
Fateh is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film, written and directed by Sonu Sood (with this film marking his directional debut), and produced by Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios, with Ajay Dhama as co-producer. The film stars Sonu Sood, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, Naseeruddin Shah, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.
SUMMARY : Before a country girl becomes a victim of a violent cybercrime gang, Fateh, a former special operations officer with a troubled history, leads a pretty tranquil life in Punjab. Fateh teams up with ethical hacker Khushi and uses their combined expertise to uncover a national network of dishonesty and pursue justice.
The music of the film is composed by implementation of Yo Yo Honey Singh, Shabbir Ahmed, Haroon–Gavin, Vivek Hariharan, Rony Ajnali and Gill Machhrai, while the background score is composed by John Stewart Eduri and Hans Zimmer.

 

AZAAD

Aaman Devgn and Rasha Thadani will soon be making their debut with the period drama ‘Azaad’, the trailer of which has recently released. Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan, among many others, lauded the film on social media. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the period drama is slated to release in theaters on January 17, 2025.
SUMMARY : A young stable boy, Govind, finds a kindred spirit in a spirited horse named Azaad when they are young in 1920s India. As the two lives mingle amidst rebellion and tyranny, his quest to ride the majestic Azaad changes into a journey of courage which makes him conscious of his power in the wake of the countrys fight for freedom.
The much-awaited Hindi film that is going to hit the theaters in January 2025, it will keep the audiences enthralled through its strong narrative of action, drama, and history. This movie, being directed by visionary Abhishek Kapoor, stars powerhouse Ajay Devgn along with young rising star Aman Devgan and debutante Rasha Thadani. Other cast members include Diana Penty, Mohit Malik, and Piyush Mishra. The film marks the debut of Jiya Amin, Dylan Jones, and Akshay Anand Kohli. The script is by acclaimed writers Krishnan Hariharan, Ritesh Shah, and Suresh Nair. The music by Amit Trivedi is likely to be soul-stirring as the movie will be a serious plot. The project, high-budget and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, is a collaboration of visionaries that promises to deliver a cinematic spectacle into the realm of historical themes with modern storytelling flair.

SKY FORCE

Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar Akshay also has ‘Sky Force’ hitting the screens in the same year. According to reports, the date is said to be on 24 January 2025. Not yet reported as official.
Sky Force is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language historical war film which will be produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik for Maddock Films. Further produced by Jyoti Deshpande in association with Jio Studios, it stars Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya as the lead actors opposite Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur. This discourse speaks about India’s counterattack at the Sargodha airbase in Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani aerial conflict of 1965, which is said to be India’s first and deadliest airstrike.
The movie stars Akshay Kumar as Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, inspired by O.P. Taneja (VrC), and Veer Pahariya as T. Vijaya, inspired by Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya (MVC). Sara Ali Khan plays the role of T. Vijaya’s wife, and Nimrat Kaur plays the role of K.O. Ahuja’s wife. Sharad Kelkar, Mohit Chauhan, and Manish Chaudhari also feature in the movie.
The songs are composed by Tanishk Bagchi and background score is provided by Justin Varghese. Lyrics of the film is written by Manoj Muntashir, Irshad Kamil, and Shloke Lal.

DEVA

 

Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde’s movie ‘Deva’ will now hit the screens in cinema halls On January 2025. This movie is scheduled to hit the screens on 31 January 2025. In this movie, a policeman is being played by Shahid Kapoor
It is an Indian Hindi-language action thriller. This movie is the Hindi-language debut for Rosshan Andrrews and the writing is by Bobby–Sanjay in their debut Hindi film. It stars Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and Pavail Gulati. The production will be from Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films.
The cast includes Shahid Kapoor in the role of Dev, with Hindi-language action thriller also featuring in significant roles.It was reported that the whole film would be shot in Mumbai, mostly in real places, with only a few small scenes shot on a set
The soundtrack of this film Deva has been composed by Vishal Mishra who was cooperating with Rosshan for the first time, while the lyrics are written by Raj Shekhar. Jakes Bejoy, who had already worked with the director on two occasions, composed the background score. Music rights were acquired by Zee Music Company. The track “Marji Cha Maalik” that was featured in the motion poster of this film was released on 1 January 2025.The first single “Bhasad Macha” is to be released on 11 January 2025.
