Speculation about the iPhone SE 4 are circulating again. Initially, it was thought to feature a similar design to the iPhone 14. However, new reports indicate a different story. The iPhone SE 4 could have the same look as the iPhone 16, which is expected to ship in September of this year.

According to Chinese sources, it will look remarkably identical to the iPhone 16, making it difficult to discern between the two. This shift in design speculation has spurred curiosity and enthusiasm among Apple fans, who eagerly await the official announcement and availability of both models.

A Chinese tipster, “Fixed Focus Digital,” has spilled the beans regarding the iPhone SE 4: the backplate for the SE 4 is built just like the one for the iPhone 16, which is set to be unveiled in September. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the SE 4 will launch later this year.

This new rumor contradicts prior reports that Apple would continue with a tweaked iPhone 14 chassis for the SE 4.

Back in November 2023, MacRumors had confidential information from an Apple production source, suggesting the SE 4’s proportions were identical to the iPhone 14.

So, what gives? Why the abrupt change of heart? While the specifics are yet unknown, there’s a sneaking impression that Apple is playing it smart.

By employing the most recent rear chassis design for the more affordable SE model, Apple may be aiming for a production sweet spot, profiting from economies of scale when the iPhone 14 models begin to retire.

In a nutshell, the iPhone SE 4 may be receiving a makeover, looking more like its luxury iPhone 16 sister than its older iPhone 14 counterpart. This shift could have significant implications for Apple fans on a tight budget looking for a new look without paying a premium.

Keep a look out this spring, since Apple might just surprise us all!

The iPhone 16, which is set to ship in September 2024, is expected to make significant improvements to Apple’s smartphone lineup.

Here are the primary enhancements and improvements we anticipate–The iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.3-inch display, and the larger iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen. This is a significant size increase over prior models.

The normal iPhone 16 will also benefit from larger displays, improving the entire user experience. All four models—iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and the regular version—will feature redesigned buttons. The Action Button will serve a variety of purposes, making navigating more straightforward. Furthermore, the Capture Button will be dedicated to capturing images and movies, simplifying the photographic process.

The basic iPhone 16 models will feature a revised vertical camera setup. Meanwhile, the Pro models are said to have a Tetra prism 5x optical zoom lens, which promises better photography capabilities. Apple is creating new A-series CPUs for the iPhone 16 generation. These chips strive to improve both efficiency and performance, ensuring smooth multitasking and responsiveness.
