Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Pachpadra Petrochemical Complex in Rajasthan’s Balotra district. The project is being described as a historic milestone in India’s energy and industrial development sector.
The Pachpadra Petrochemical Complex is India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical project, aimed at boosting domestic production and strengthening energy security.

The Pachpadra Petrochemical Complex is expected to significantly transform the economy of western Rajasthan by generating large-scale employment opportunities and attracting industrial investment.
Officials stated that the Pachpadra Petrochemical Complex will emerge as one of the largest integrated refinery and petrochemical hubs in the country, contributing to long-term regional development.

Major Infrastructure Boost Alongside Petrochemical Complex
Along with the Petrochemical Complex, the Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects across sectors including railways, roads, urban transport, renewable energy, and power transmission.
A major highlight was the foundation stone for Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project, further strengthening infrastructure growth alongside the Pachpadra Refinery Project

Dignitaries Present at Pachpadra Complex Event
The Pachpadra Petrochemical Complex inauguration ceremony was attended by Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade, Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
Their presence highlighted the national importance of the Petrochemical Complex in advancing India’s industrial and energy ambitions.
