Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai on Tuesday, February 16, 2026, to review the progress of the India-France strategic partnership. The discussions will focus on deepening bilateral ties and exploring cooperation in emerging sectors, alongside exchanging views on regional and global issues.
An official statement confirmed that Prime Minister Modi will travel to Mumbai on February 17 for the meeting. During these engagements, both leaders will evaluate the developments in the India-France strategic partnership.

French President Macron to Attend AI Impact Summit and Hold Bilateral Talks with PM Modi in Mumbai (Feb 17–19)
French President Macron’s visit, from February 17–19, is at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi. He will participate in India’s AI Impact Summit and hold a bilateral summit with the Prime Minister in Mumbai.
This will be French President Macron’s fourth visit to India and his first to Mumbai. On February 17, the leaders will hold bilateral talks at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai, around 3:15 p.m., followed by the inauguration of the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 at 5:15 p.m., where they will address business leaders, start-ups, researchers, and innovators from both countries.
