Meerut/New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp critique of the Congress party over the recent protests by Youth Congress workers during the AI Impact Summit and the subsequent disruptions in Parliament. Speaking at an event in Meerut, Modi condemned Congress’s political approach and questioned its methods.
Referring to the semi-nude demonstration by Youth Congress members outside the high-profile summit in Delhi, the PM Modi said that while India was projecting its technological achievements to the world, “unruly” Congress leaders sought to tarnish the country’s image. He emphasized that other major opposition parties had distanced themselves from the protest, stating, “Parties like the TMC, DMK, BSP, and Farooq Abdullah’s party had no role in this. I publicly thank them for standing with the truth.”
PM Modi criticizes media for shielding Congress by calling all parties the opposition.
PM Modi also criticized the media for labeling the entire opposition rather than naming the Congress directly. “The Congress commits a sin, the Congress is criticized, but the media doesn’t use the word Congress—only the word opposition. Why? Why are you protecting the Congress?” he said, adding that such reporting neither shields the party nor encourages reform.

On the parliamentary uproar, PM Modi said Congress not only fails to perform but also prevents its allies from speaking. He questioned the party’s leadership tactics, particularly their use of women MPs, asking, “What is your compulsion to capture the seat by putting women MPs forward? Have you become so hollow that you have to use mothers and sisters as shields?”
The PM Modi further claimed that Congress has become a burden not only for the country but also for its alliance partners. He said, “Congress commits sins, and they have to suffer. This is why voices of rebellion against Congress are rising even within the Opposition camp.”
Through his comments, PM Modi highlighted the contrast between Congress’s disruptive actions and the conduct of other opposition parties, urging the media and the public to hold Congress accountable for its political strategies.
