Seva Teerth: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ( PM Modi ) convened a roundtable earlier today with CEOs and founders of leading AI and deeptech startups, focusing on innovations tackling large-scale challenges across key sectors.
The participating startups are addressing population-scale issues in healthcare, agriculture, cybersecurity, space, ethical AI, social empowerment, and enterprise productivity. In healthcare, AI is being applied for advanced diagnostics, gene therapy, and efficient patient record management to improve care at the grassroots level. In agriculture, startups are using geospatial and underwater intelligence to enhance productivity and mitigate climate-related risks. Other ventures focus on modernizing legacy systems, expanding access to justice and education in regional languages, and strengthening enterprise efficiency. Collectively, these startups demonstrate an ecosystem that serves local needs while contributing to global leadership in AI-driven innovation.

The startups lauded India’s sustained efforts to strengthen its AI ecosystem, emphasizing the sector’s rapid growth and immense untapped potential. They noted that global AI innovation is increasingly shifting toward India, which now provides a supportive and dynamic environment for AI development. The participants also praised the India AI Impact Summit, highlighting India’s growing role in shaping global AI discussions.
PM Modi Praises Innovators, Highlights AI’s Role in Agriculture and Education
PM Modi congratulated the innovators for taking bold risks and developing impactful solutions. He highlighted the potential applications of AI in agriculture and environmental protection, including monitoring crop productivity, fertilizer usage, and soil health. Emphasizing the importance of promoting Indian languages and culture, he encouraged the development of AI tools for higher education in regional languages.
The PM Modi also stressed the importance of strong data governance, cautioned against misinformation, and urged the creation of solutions tailored to India’s specific needs. Referring to UPI as an example of simple, scalable digital innovation, he expressed confidence in domestic companies and encouraged trust in Indian products. He further emphasized expanding private sector participation in the space industry and noted growing investor interest in Indian startups.

The roundtable was attended by CEOs and founders from Abridge, Adalat AI, BrainSightAI, Credo AI, Eka Care, Glean, Innogle, Invideo, Miko, Origin, Prophaze, Rasen, Rubrik, SatSure, Supernova, and Sypha AI. Also present were Principal Secretary Shri P.K. Mishra, Principal Secretary-2 Shri Shaktikanta Das, and Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasada.
