Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi warns Pakistan that Operation Sindoor is ongoing and any provocation will face a strong response.

New Delhi: In a strong warning to Pakistan, Army Chief Gen. Upendra Dwivedi stated on Tuesday that Operation Sindoor is still in progress and that any mishap by the enemy will be handled successfully.

Speaking at a press conference, the Army chief stated that although the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China has been steady, it requires ongoing attention.

Gen. Dwivedi elaborated on several facets of Operation Sindoor, stating that it was essential in resetting strategic assumptions as the Indian military penetrated deeply to destroy terror infrastructure and pierce Islamabad’s “longstanding nuclear rhetoric.”

“As you may be aware, Operation Sindoor remains ongoing, and a future misadventure will be resolutely responded to,” he continued.

The operation, according to Gen. Dwivedi, was India’s measured and determined response to cross-border terrorism, exhibiting preparedness, accuracy, and strategic clarity.

The Indian Army has mobilized its forces and was prepared for ground offensives, he added.

“The northern front position is still steady, but it requires ongoing attention to detail. “At the same time, capability development and infrastructure enhancement are progressing through a whole-of-government approach,” he noted, adding that renewed engagement and initiatives to foster confidence are helping to gradually normalize the situation.

According to the head of the Army, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is still delicate but well under control.
