A large-scale Jodhpur Mock Drill Blackout Exercise will be conducted on April 25, 2026, to assess disaster management preparedness and improve emergency response systems across the district. The exercise will simulate an air raid warning and full blackout scenario in Jodhpur.

As per directions of the Government of India and under the guidance of District Collector Alok Ranjan, the Jodhpur Mock Drill Blackout Exercise will involve coordination among multiple departments, including civil defence, police, fire services, medical teams, electricity department, public works department, and district administration.

Multi-Department Coordination Review

Ahead of the Jodhpur Mock Drill Blackout Exercise, a review meeting was held at the Marwar International Center under the chairmanship of Additional District Collector (II) Surendra Singh Purohit. Senior officials from the Indian Air Force and Indian Army stationed in Jodhpur also participated in the meeting.

The Jodhpur Mock Drill Blackout Exercise aims to test coordination, communication speed, and response mechanisms among all participating agencies during emergency conditions.

The Jodhpur Mock Drill Blackout Exercise will also evaluate public awareness measures during blackout conditions and the effectiveness of emergency response systems.

The district administration has urged citizens not to panic or believe rumours during the Jodhpur Mock Drill Blackout Exercise. Residents have been advised to follow official instructions and cooperate fully to ensure the success of the drill.
