The initiative was inaugurated by Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu on June 25, 2026, at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi.

Economic and Strategic Impact
The government believes the India Hub-and-Spoke aviation model will play a crucial role in boosting economic growth. According to estimates from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, it could generate around 0.4 million direct and indirect jobs by 2030.
