Gujarat Daman Development Projects 2026 under PM Modi’s visit will boost infrastructure

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Daman on June 5, 2026, to review ongoing infrastructure works and inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth over ₹21,000 crore aimed at boosting connectivity, healthcare, industry, and regional growth.

Gujarat Daman Development Projects 2026: Major Push in Surat

During the Gujarat Daman Development Projects 2026, the Prime Minister will begin his visit in Surat at around 2:30 PM, where he will review industrial operations in Hazira. Later at 4:15 PM, he will launch and dedicate projects worth approximately ₹18,800 crore across road, power, and industrial sectors.

Key highlights include expansion of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, four-laning of NH-56 to improve tribal connectivity, and major transmission network upgrades to strengthen Gujarat’s power infrastructure.

 Healthcare and Industrial Growth

As part of the Gujarat Daman Development Projects 2026, a 200-bed ESIC hospital will be inaugurated in Surat, offering advanced emergency, trauma, and specialty healthcare services.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate key industrial and utility projects, including power distribution upgrades under the Revamped Distribution Scheme and effluent treatment infrastructure in key industrial regions like Dahej PCPIR and GIDC estates.

 Daman Infrastructure Expansion

In Daman, the Gujarat Daman Development Projects 2026 will see inauguration and foundation laying of projects worth around ₹2,970 crore at approximately 6:15 PM.

This includes the NAMO Airport Terminal and NAMO Hospital, designed to boost air connectivity and healthcare access. The hospital is expected to handle nearly 1,500 OPD patients daily.

Tourism and Connectivity Boost

The Prime Minister will also lay foundation stones for major infrastructure projects worth ₹1,630 crore in Daman, including the Iconic Bridge, Convention Centre, and NIFT Campus.

Additionally, Lakshadweep will receive maritime connectivity projects worth ₹885 crore, focusing on port development, fisheries support, tourism, and cargo handling infrastructure.

The Gujarat Daman Development Projects 2026 mark a significant step toward strengthening India’s infrastructure ecosystem. With investments exceeding ₹21,000 crore, the initiatives aim to enhance connectivity, boost industrial growth, improve healthcare services, and accelerate regional development across Gujarat, Daman, and Lakshadweep.
