Mumbai: French President Emmanuel Macron, accompanied by First Lady Brigitte Macron, departed Mumbai for New Delhi on Wednesday after completing his engagements in the city, including bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
At Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Emmanuel Macron and his wife were seen off by Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
On Tuesday, Emmanuel Macron held discussions with PM Modi as part of efforts to further strengthen India-France strategic ties.

During his Mumbai visit, the French president and First Lady also met several prominent Indian filmmakers and actors, engaging in lively discussions about cinema, culture, and potential collaborations.

President Macron official visit to India, which runs from February 17 to 19 at the invitation of PM Modi, includes participation in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, in addition to the bilateral summit in Mumbai.
The AI Impact Summit will be inaugurated by PM Modi on February 19, with 20 heads of state, including President Macron, expected to attend the inaugural session, according to Electronics and IT Secretary S Krishnan.
