Development of Kota will be done in a planned manner says Lok Sabha Speaker and loss will be reduced, transmission system will be strengthened- Energy Minister.

 

Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla on Monday inaugurated the 132 kV grid substation constructed by Rajasthan State Electricity Transmission Corporation Ltd. at Borkheda at a cost of 20 crores and the 33 kV GSS constructed by KEDL at Kala Talab at a cost of about 3 crores in Kota district. Energy Minister Shri Hiralal Nagar presided over the program.

 

Addressing the gathering after the inauguration of the 132 kV GSS, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla said that this GSS will prove to be a milestone in the regular supply of electricity without any interruption in the urban area of ​​Borkheda and the surrounding rural areas

He said that there is a double engine government in the state and the Center and in the next five years, electricity will be available in Kota city and rural areas without tripping and also said that KEDL has been warned to streamline the power supply and resolve the complaints of consumers.

 

He said that the people of Kota have elected him as MP for the third time and I have got the important responsibility of Lok Sabha Speaker for the second time.

Keeping this trust of the public intact, the area will be developed in a planned manner without any discrimination. The Lok Sabha Speaker thanked the State Government and the energy minister for setting up 132 KV GSS in Borkheda.

 

Presiding over the programme, Energy Minister Shri Hiralal Nagar said that during the tenure of the previous government, no attention was paid to increasing the power generation capacity in the state, developing a new transmission system and expanding the transmission lines.

Due to non-availability of transformers, farmers could not get connections even after issuing demand notes. He said that relief will be provided to the farmers by installing transformers in the remaining agricultural connections and where transformers are not installed.

 

Shri Nagar said that 132 KV GSS will provide better supply of electricity to new Kota, especially Baran Road, Daslana, Kota Junction and the areas connected to it, loss will be reduced, low voltage problem will be overcome, and the transmission system will be strengthened.

He said that to improve the power supply system of Kota city, the process of construction of three new 33 KV GSS has been started by KEDL in Bajaj Nagar Kunhadi, Swami Vivekanand Nagar and Meera Bai Awasiya Yojana.

 

The energy minister said that the state government has signed MoUs worth Rs 1 lakh 60 thousand crores with 6 central undertakings. This will produce 31 thousand 825 MW of electricity in the coming time.

He said that the process of setting up a thermal and 8 thousand MW solar power project of 3 thousand 200 MW with an investment of Rs 64 thousand crore through tariff based tender process has been started. To make Rajasthan a solar energy hub, a few days ago, the Chief Minister has approved the allotment of land in Bikaner and Phalodi districts for 4 solar projects of 2950 MW.

 

Ladpura MLA Kalpana Devi said that the establishment of 132 KV GSS will smoothen the power supply in Borkheda and surrounding areas. Also, the problem of tripping and power cuts will be solved.

 

At the end of the program, Kota city district president Rakesh Jain expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, Kota district chief Mukesh Meghwal, rural district president Prem Gochar, Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. Technical Director KK Meena and other officials were present.
