India Demolishes Homes of 10 Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir Following Pahalgam Terror Attack

In a bold and sweeping response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack that left 25 tourists and a local Kashmiri dead, Indian security forces have demolished the homes of ten identified terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. The demolitions, carried out over the past six days, mark a decisive escalation in India’s effort to dismantle the terror ecosystem entrenched in the region.

Ten Terrorists’ Homes Flattened in Anti-Terror Operation

According to top security sources, the targeted militants belong to various Pakistan-backed terrorist outfits, including Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and The Resistance Front. The demolitions were conducted after intelligence agencies confirmed their active involvement in terror-related activities and recruitment operations.

Terrorists Whose Homes Were Demolished Include:

  • Adil Hussain Thoker (Lashkar-e-Taiba)
  • Zakir Ahmad Ganai (Lashkar-e-Taiba)
  • Amir Ahmad Dar (Lashkar-e-Taiba)
  • Asif Sheikh (Lashkar-e-Taiba)
  • Shahid Ahmad Kuttey (Lashkar commander)
  • Ahsan ul Haq Amir (Lashkar, trained in Pakistan)
  • Amir Nazeer Wani (Jaish-e-Mohammed)
  • Jameel Ahmad Sher Gojri (Jaish-e-Mohammed)
  • Adnan Safi Dar (The Resistance Front)
  • Farooq Ahmad Tedwa (The Resistance Front, operating from Pakistan)

Officials have confirmed that Adil Hussain Thoker is a key suspect in the recent Pahalgam killings. Meanwhile, Farooq Tedwa continues to orchestrate operations remotely from across the border in Pakistan.

Rationale Behind the Crackdown

A spokesperson for the Jammu and Kashmir Police said that the action is part of a larger mission to “break the infrastructure and safe havens of terrorists” in the Valley.

“These demolitions are not just punitive, but strategic. We are dismantling safe houses, communication hubs, and financial hideouts,” said a senior security official.

Sources indicate that many of these demolished homes were used for storing arms, indoctrination, and providing shelter to infiltrating militants.

Pahalgam Attack: A Nation in Mourning

The terror attack that triggered this action took place on Tuesday in the Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination in South Kashmir. Eyewitness accounts suggest the attackers targeted Hindu tourists, asking for their identities before opening fire.

The victims include individuals from multiple Indian states including West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Gujarat, and Bihar, highlighting the national scale of grief.

PM Modi’s Strong Message

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the nation and the international community, vowed relentless retaliation:

“This attack was not just on innocent tourists; it was an attack on the soul of India. The perpetrators and their masters will face consequences beyond their imagination.”

He emphasized that India’s resolve would remain unbroken and assured that the government is offering full support to the victims’ families and those injured.

Diplomatic Fallout: India Suspends Ties with Pakistan

In response to Pakistan’s continued support for terror outfits, India has suspended visa services for Pakistani nationals and put the Indus Waters Treaty on hold — an agreement that has survived even during full-scale wars.

Most notably, India is reassessing all bilateral agreements, including the Simla Agreement — the cornerstone of peaceful relations post-1971 war.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded by stating it would “exercise the right to hold all bilateral agreements, including but not limited to Simla Agreement, in abeyance.”

This development has serious implications for the Line of Control (LoC) and overall peace in the region, as the Simla Agreement recognizes the LoC as the de facto border between the two nuclear-armed nations.

What’s Next? Intensified Security Measures and Monitoring

With the current momentum, more properties linked to terror suspects are expected to be identified and demolished. Intelligence officials have indicated the existence of dozens more hideouts still operational across South Kashmir.

The Ministry of Home Affairs is also considering new amendments to enable faster prosecution of terror enablers, including those providing logistical and digital support.
