Superstar Yash’s upcoming film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is slated for a theatrical release later this month. So far, the makers have unveiled posters, teasers, and character reveals. As the release date approaches, the official synopsis of Toxic has also been revealed, giving fans a glimpse into the plot and Yash’s character.
What Role Will Yash Play in Toxic?
The UAE distributor, Fars Film, shared the film’s synopsis on their official website, providing details about Yash’s character, the storyline, and the gangster drama. According to the website, Toxic is set in Goa between the 1940s and early 1970s. The official synopsis reads:

“Set in Goa between the 1940s and early 1970s, Toxic is a thrilling action story. On this coastal land, where fading colonial shadows meet growing crime syndicates, one man builds his empire with blood, fear, and deception.”
Further, the synopsis adds:
“Power is not given, it is taken, and it always demands payment. As smuggling routes turn into battlegrounds and loyalty shifts into doubt, paranoia becomes a way to survive. In the end, the only thing more powerful than the consequences of his actions is the abyss within himself.”
The film has been rated 18+, indicating that it is targeted at adult audiences.

Toxic marks Yash’s 19th film and is his first release after the blockbuster KGF franchise. The film is produced under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations by Venkat Narayan and Yash himself.
Alongside Yash, the film stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasant in key roles. Toxic is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19.
At the box office, it will compete with Aditya Dhar’s Dhruva 2, which features Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
