Border 2, based on the 1971 war and inspired by real events, is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in collaboration with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. The project is backed by a powerhouse team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and is directed by Anurag Singh. The film follows the legacy of J.P. Dutta’s original blockbuster Border (1997), which featured stars such as Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, and Pooja Bhatt.
Meanwhile, Varun will also be seen in the romantic drama Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, co-starring Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. The film, originally slated for April 10, 2026, is now scheduled to release on June 5. Inspired by the hit song from David Dhawan’s Biwi No. 1, the film reportedly follows the story of a young man who faces multiple rejections but receives divine guidance, blending humor and romance in its narrative.
