What is Runabali About?
The film is based on untold events from 19th-century Rayalaseema, where locals were labeled as “wild” and rebels by the British. Runabali uncovers the suppressed truths of the region’s history, depicting atrocities during British-occupied India, reportedly even more harrowing than the Holocaust.
In the film, Vijay plays the freedom fighter Runabali, while Rashmika portrays Jayamma. The villain is played by Arnold Vosloo. Fans are eagerly anticipating seeing the duo reunite on-screen after their hit films Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.
With a compelling historical backdrop, high anticipation, and the charm of Vijay-Rashmika together, Runabali promises to be a cinematic event worth watching.
