‘Nushrratt Bharuccha visits Mahakaleshwar Temple for Bhasma Aarti; Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi claims she violated Islamic norms.

Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha recently went to the renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain for the Bhasma Aarti. In keeping with temple customs, the actress made prayers to Lord Mahakal and carried out rites, such as presenting water. Her presence has, nevertheless, provoked strong reactions and a broader discussion.

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, National President of the All India Muslim Jamaat, made a forceful remark when Bharuccha visited the temple. According to him, it is against Islam for a Muslim lady to go to a Hindu temple, offer prayers, pour water, and engage in other Hindu religious rituals.

Maulana Razvi called on Bharuccha to change his ways in his statement. According to his interpretation of Islamic teachings, he told her that the only way out of the problem was to perform tauba (repentance), recite istegfar (asking forgiveness), and read the kalma.

He classified the actress’s activities as a breach of Islamic precepts and called it a serious concern, claiming that Islam and Sharia forbid such behaviors.

Maulana Razvi, “Guilty In The Eyes Of Sharia”

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi told , from Bareilly that Nushrratt Bharuccha is “guilty in the eyes of Sharia.” He claimed that the actress had committed what he called a “major sin” and acted contrary to Islamic norms.

He added that the actress had violated Islam by engaging in Hindu religious rites, and that she was therefore subject to Sharia law for committing a serious crime.
