Farah encouraged Manish to talk about her past behavior on sets during the interview. Without hesitation, the designer disclosed that it was necessary to have thick skin when working with “Farah the choreographer.” He remembered how she would lose her temper on hectic set days, particularly when the costumes didn’t move as she had hoped.

He related a story from Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani in which she would exclaim, “Ye kya he? Aey ye kaise he? Is he wearing a costume?Manish continued, “There was this Juhi Chawla song… and she was like, ‘This grey kurta is not moving!’ I was like, ‘You are always commenting!’” The incessant criticism finally forced him to leave the set.

During the Fevicol Se shoot with Kareena Kapoor, Farah couldn’t stop giggling and said, “I remember he got very angry with me, and did not pick up my call for two days!” She pushed him till he ignored her calls for two days in a row.

Farah’s Softer Side

Despite the intense recollections, Manish maintained that Farah completely changes when she is directing a movie. “Woh itni achchi ho jaati he ki jo ap bolo ki achcha aise karenge… you become another person!” he said, describing how her temperament becomes more relaxed and adaptable on a film set.”
