Arjun Bijlani and Neha Swami return to Mumbai after sudden death of Neha’s father, Rakesh Chandra Swami, in Dubai.

New Delhi: For actor Arjun Bijlani and his wife Neha Swami, what was supposed to be a happy New Year’s party in Dubai became a nightmare. After Neha’s father, Rakesh Chandra Swami, experienced an unexpected medical emergency, the couple was forced to shorten their holiday and return quickly to Mumbai.

Rakesh Chandra Swami, 73, tragically died Thursday morning after a valiant battle in the intensive care unit. During the burial, Arjun was shown comforting their kid Ayaan. Neha Swami, his wife, was obviously devastated. The couple’s close friend Nia Sharma showed up to the crematorium to offer assistance to the grieving family.

The family is in shock over the news, particularly because the health issue was completely unanticipated. Rakesh was “fit and fine” and getting ready for supper on Monday when he unexpectedly had a stroke, according to a family member. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital right away and put on a ventilator. He passed away a few days later, despite the medical staff’s best efforts. His daughter Neha and son Nishank survive him.

Since Neha and Arjun had met the family before taking off, the whole family is in disbelief. A family member said, “It was an unexpected shock, and we are all still struggling with the situation.”

The loss is incalculable for Neha. She had frequently expressed her affection for her father in public. She posted a heartfelt remembrance on a prior Father’s Day that seems even more relevant now:

“To my father, happy Father’s Day. Your love, leadership, and protection of our family have always been admirable to me. Your strength, your tolerance, and the way you make fatherhood seem like a blessing are qualities I’ve always hoped Arjun would learn from. A father’s love is the cornerstone of a family, and yours has influenced my identity and the qualities I look for in my loved ones.

Neha and Arjun arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday and stayed with him at the hospital till the very end.
