Anushka Sharma shares heartfelt reflections on motherhood as daughter Vamika turns five, cherishing every moment with kids Vamika & Akaay.

As her daughter Vamika turned five, actress Anushka Sharma reminisced on her motherhood journey, saying she treasures every moment and wouldn’t trade her version of parenthood for anything in the world.

Anushka, who welcomed her first kid Vamika with star cricketer Virat Kohli in 2021, re-shared an article about how parenting changes a person on Instagram stories.

The message stated, “Let motherhood alter you – and accept responsibility for the new version of yourself. The concept that we can preserve our previous lives with minor adjustments and bring our youngsters along is only partially accurate. Nobody mentioned the cost. With tired eyes and a full heart, our wants are not decreasing; rather, they are being reorganized.

The post mentioned that “mother is a paradox”.

“Love and tiredness coexist, as do progress and grief. All of these feelings are exhausting enough. Small, heavy, profound moments change us, and they deserve to be acknowledged. Because they steal so much from us, and we deserve to be recognized and held,” the statement continued.

Anushka captioned the re-shared image on her tales section: “And I wouldn’t go back to any version of myself that didn’t know you, my kid. “January 11, 2021 (red heart emoji).”

Anushka and Virat were married in Italy in December 2017. She gave birth to a girl, Vamika, in 2021, and a boy, Akaay, in February 2024.

The plot revolves around Bauua Singh, a short guy from Meerut who, after struggling to find a marriage partner, meets Aafia Bhinder, an NSAR (a fictional space research facility) scientist with cerebral palsy.

However, cinema superstar Babita becomes close to him, putting his initial relationship to the test, before this love triangle transports them to distant locations, forcing Bauua on an expedition to discover both his true love and wholeness in a life lived to the fullest.
