Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Kalyan Yojana 2024’ at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office.

On this occasion, he also inaugurated two buses for the facility of mobile learning school for the children of construction workers registered under the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

The Chief Minister flagged off one bus each for mobile learning school for the children of construction workers registered under the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board for district Haridwar and district Udham Singh Nagar.

Earlier, this initiative was started for Dehradun and Nainital districts, under which 314 children are getting primary education. The Chief Minister said that 75 children of construction workers registered by the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will be selected every year and provided higher technical education at Rudrapur Institute of Technology.

These children will be provided 03 years of technical training in subjects like mechanical, civil, electrical and electronic engineering and placement will also be arranged for their employment. The cost of training of these children will be borne by the government.

He said that by providing such training to the children of registered construction workers, they will get an opportunity to come forward in their field of work.
