CM PATS INDIAN HOCKEY TEAM TO BOOK A BERTH IN FINAL OF ASIAD AFTER DEFEATING SOUTH KOREA
Chandigarh, October 4 :Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday congratulated the Indian Hockey Team for showing marvelous performance to book a berth in final during Asian Games at Hangzhou (China).
Hailing the victory, the Chief Minister said that it is a proud and historic moment for the nation as Hockey Team has secured a ticket of Asian Games final by defeating South Korea (5-3) in a scintillating semi final. Sharing the joyous moment, Bhagwant Mann said that the entire team has made every countryman proud for this coveted honor. Exuberating confidence over bright future of Hockey, he hoped that the day is not very far of when our national sports-Hockey will soon regain its pristine glory.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that this rare feat of hockey team would go a long way to inspire millions of youngsters who strive hard to excel in the arena of sports.
