CM Dr. Yadav calls on Union Minister Shri Shah

Apprises him with the efforts being made in the cooperative sector in the state

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today paid a courtesy visit to Union Home and Cooperatives Minister Shri Amit Shah at his office in North Block, New Delhi and discussed various issues related to the cooperative sector of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is progressing in the cooperative sector. He informed that the state government have agreed to manage and operate the Dugdha Sanghs through the National Dairy Development Board for the next five years. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this agreement will elevate the income of cattle rearers and milk-producing farmers in approximately 11 thousand villages. In order to strengthen the cooperative sector through the government, multipurpose cooperative institutions will be formed in these 11 thousand villages.

Union Home Minister Shri Shah appreciated this innovative decision of the state government and suggested working in this direction across the state. Shri Shah also assured all possible assistance from the Central Government in the efforts being made in the cooperative sector.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed the hope that along with the milk-producing farmers of the state, food processing and agro-based industries will also benefit from this decision. Farmers will have full participation in not only the raw materials but also their products for agro-based industries. He also informed Union Minister Shri Shah about the Regional Industry Conclave being organized at the division level to promote employment and industry in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also thanked the Central Government for the decision to procure soybean crop at the minimum support price.
