Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Visits Varanasi Ahead of PM Modi’s 74th Birthday Celebration
Varanasi witnessed a flurry of activity on Monday as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in the city for a two-day visit, just ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 74th birthday celebration on Tuesday. The visit is part of a larger celebration planned to honor the Prime Minister, who hails from Varanasi.

Upon his arrival, CM Adityanath held a high-level meeting with district officials to review the progress of various ongoing development projects in the city. The meeting also focused on assessing the current law and order situation, ensuring that the city remains safe and orderly during the celebrations.

One of the major highlights of the CM’s itinerary is a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Dham, where a series of religious rituals will be performed in honor of PM Modi. On Tuesday, Yogi Adityanath will offer prayers at the renowned Kaal Bhairav temple and later at the Nikumbh Vinayak Temple. A massive 74 kg laddu, symbolizing Modi’s 74th birthday, will be presented at the temple in Kashi Vishwanath Dham, near the Gyanvapi Well.

In addition to these spiritual observances, the Chief Minister will perform a special ‘havan’ ceremony at Mandir Chowk inside the Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The havan is intended to pray for the good health and long life of PM Modi. A ‘Shodashopachara puja’ will also be conducted, a ritual that is traditionally performed for public welfare, adding a spiritual dimension to the event.

The Chief Minister’s visit will also include various community-focused initiatives. He will lead a city-wide cleanliness drive, walking from Chittaranjan Park to Dashashwamedh Ghat as part of the ‘Cleanliness is Service’ rally. This rally emphasizes the importance of cleanliness as a form of service to the nation, aligning with PM Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign.

In line with the spirit of public welfare, CM Adityanath is also expected to inaugurate a blood donation drive organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at the divisional hospital in Varanasi. This initiative is expected to encourage community members to donate blood and contribute to healthcare efforts in the city.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister will launch several developmental projects during his visit. At the Chhota Cutting Memorial School, he will unveil multiple municipal and educational projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure in the city. These include the inauguration of smart classrooms, the introduction of the Vidya Shakti program, and the launch of a new QR code-based system for property tax and water tax collection. In a move to digitize municipal services, CM Adityanath will also introduce an online portal allowing shop owners to make rent payments via QR codes.

Adding to the celebratory tone, the Chief Minister will distribute certificates to beneficiaries of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. This scheme, aimed at supporting traditional artisans and craftspeople, is a key initiative under the Modi government’s efforts to boost rural livelihoods.

CM Yogi Adityanath’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to Varanasi’s development while ensuring that celebrations in honor of the Prime Minister remain focused on public welfare and spiritual significance.
