Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inaugurated the stretch from Gaighat (12.1 km) of J.P. Gangapath to Kanganghat (15.5 km) by cutting the ribbon and flying a balloon. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the road built from Gaighat to Kanganghat.

 

In the program organized at Patna Ghat, Additional Chief Secretary of Road Construction Department, Shri Pratyaya Amrit informed the Chief Minister about the progress of the remaining works of JP Ganga Path Project through the presentation of a documentary film prepared by drone.

 

Also informed about the updated status of work progress of Kachchi Dargah to Bidupur 6 lane road project. He told that there is a plan to connect the JP Ganga Path Project in the east via Bakhtiyarpur to Mokama with Rajendra Bridge. There is also a plan to extend it in the western direction to Sherpur in Bhojpur district.

 

The Chief Minister said that the foundation stone of JP Ganga Path Project will be laid on 11 October this year. Laid in 2013. On June 24, 2022, a portion of the J.P. Ganga Path Project was inaugurated.

 

He said that with the construction of JP Ganga Path, there is ease in traffic between the eastern and western parts of Patna and with the establishment of uninterrupted connectivity between the main hospitals of Patna city – PMCH, NMCH and AIIMS.

 

 

It is easier for the common people to get medical facilities. It is very convenient. With J.P. Ganga Bridge being connected to J.P. Bridge in Digha and Mahatma Gandhi Bridge near Biskoman Golambar in Gai Ghat, the traffic between North Bihar and South Bihar has become even easier.

 

It is done. The Chief Minister said that the work of JP Ganga Path Project from Digha to Kanganghat has been completed. The remaining work till Didarganj should be completed soon. The Chief Minister directed the representative of the construction company L&T to complete the remaining work of JP Gangapath as soon as possible.

 

The representative of L&T asked the Chief Minister to complete the remaining work of 1.5 km from Kanganghat to Didarganj by October 2024 and the work of Kachchi Dargah to Bidupur road project by the end of this year.

 

Gave assurance to. It is noteworthy that with the inauguration of JP Ganga Path Project till Kangan Ghat, it will become very easy to visit Takht Shri Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara, the birthplace of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.

 

Besides, there will be considerable saving of time in traveling from Kangan Ghat to Gurudwara Handi Sahib in Danapur. After the transfer of railway land between Patna Ghat and Patna Sahib, the project will have direct connection from Digha to Patna Sahib railway station, which will further increase the usefulness of this route.

 

 

Talking to the journalists after the program, the Chief Minister said that after the construction of J.P. Gangapath, the people of North Bihar are no longer facing any problem in commuting to Patna or anywhere else, the transportation has become convenient.

 

It will be very convenient to come here from different areas of North Bihar. Apart from this, good roads are being built everywhere in the state. Regarding the roads which are getting delayed in construction at some places, I have asked the officials to complete the construction work as soon as possible. Construction of good roads provides a lot of convenience to people in transportation and also saves time.
