Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur Extends Condolences to Shubhkaran’s family

Chandigarh, March 3 : Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur today visited at the residence of the young farmer Shubhkaran Singh, who was martyred at the Khanauri border during the farmers’ struggle.

The cabinet minister expressed her condolences to the martyr’s family. She stated that the state government stands with the family in this hour of grief.

She stated that the state government supports the farmers of Punjab, who are facing obstacles from anti-Punjab forces preventing them from peacefully demonstrating for their legitimate demands in the national capital. She said the significant contributions of Punjabis to the nation’s independence and self-sufficiency in food production, as well as their role in protecting the country’s borders. Despite these contributions, Punjabis are still being targeted.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced financial assistance of one crore rupees to the victim’s family and a government job for Shubhkaran Singh’s sister.
