Bhagwant Mann Intensifies Campaigning in Haryana, Criticizes BJP’s Track Record on Unemployment
As Haryana prepares for its upcoming Assembly elections, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has ramped up his campaign efforts in the state. Recently, Mann addressed large gatherings in Rewari and nearby areas, using the platform to criticize the ruling BJP government for its governance failures, particularly on issues like unemployment and corruption.
During his rally in Rewari, Mann didn’t hold back in highlighting Haryana’s soaring unemployment rate, which he claimed is five times the national average. He directly linked this alarming statistic to the inefficiencies of the BJP-led government in the state. According to Mann, the failure of the “double-engine” governance model—which the BJP touts as a central and state partnership aimed at faster development—has left critical sectors like employment and infrastructure lagging behind.
Mann positioned his party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), as the only viable alternative for bringing about the much-needed change in Haryana. He pointed to the success of AAP’s governance in neighboring Punjab, highlighting achievements that include the modernization of government schools, the establishment of over 840 mohalla clinics, and the creation of thousands of jobs. His message was clear: if given a chance, AAP could replicate similar reforms in Haryana, offering solutions to the state’s pressing problems.
The Punjab Chief Minister also backed AAP candidates Satish Yadav and Vikas Nehra, urging the voters of Haryana to support them for a brighter future. He stressed that Haryana’s youth deserve better opportunities, quality education, and accessible healthcare—issues that AAP has prioritized in Punjab.
Mann’s critique of the BJP wasn’t limited to unemployment. He also addressed concerns around corruption and inadequate infrastructure. He stated that despite years of promises, the BJP government has failed to deliver on its commitments to the people of Haryana. According to Mann, the state’s infrastructure remains in poor condition, and the benefits of central schemes have not trickled down to the grassroots level as expected.
The response to Mann’s rallies has been overwhelming, with large crowds attending his events, indicating growing support for AAP in a state traditionally dominated by BJP and Congress. His focus on education, healthcare, and employment has resonated with many voters, especially the youth, who are frustrated with the current government’s inaction on these fronts.
Through these rallies, Bhagwant Mann is positioning AAP as a serious contender in the upcoming elections, challenging the established political dynamics of Haryana. He’s banking on his party’s track record in Punjab to win over voters, arguing that AAP’s model of governance—centered on transparency, accountability, and social welfare—can bring real progress to the state.
With Haryana set to vote soon, Mann’s high-energy campaigning has put pressure on both the BJP and Congress to respond to AAP’s growing momentum. The elections are shaping up to be a closely contested race, and Mann’s involvement has certainly added an intriguing dynamic to the political landscape.
