directed Union Minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Mr. Bhupendra Yadav, while holding a review meeting of district level officers in Alwar Collectorate Auditorium on Friday, that the all-round development of the district should be accelerated by coordinated efforts with team spirit and the grievances of the general public should be resolved promptly.

 

Minister Mr. Yadav reviewed the waste management, drinking water supply and cleanliness of Alwar city and directed the Municipal Corporation Commissioner to increase the resources for cleaning of drains etc. in the rainy season, in which 6 JCB machines and 12 tractors and other resources should be taken as per the requirement and a special cleaning campaign should be started from July 8.

 

He said that single use plastic is a big obstacle in the cleanliness system of the city, hence the Municipal Corporation should take action to strictly curb the production, collection and sale of single use plastic.

 

Also, make the general public aware that single use plastic should be used in practice. He directed to identify such places in the city where people spread garbage and make the people who spread garbage public by installing CCTV cameras there.

 

The Union Minister of Forest and Environment said that in order to improve the cleanliness of the city, waste management etc., he directed that the Mayor and Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation should visit Indore on 6th July where they should take information from the officials of the Municipal Corporation Indore about the work being done to remain number one in cleanliness.

 

He also directed that a detailed report should be prepared and sent to the departmental officials of the Central Government for the NCAT scheme and waste disposal management.

 

He directed the Municipal Corporation Commissioner to coordinate with the General Manager of Alwar District Commerce and Industry Center and other concerned officials to use the treated water of the STP located at Agyaara for industrial use so that the land used by the industrial units in the MIA area can be saved. He directed that ward-wise meetings should also be held regarding the cleanliness system of the city. He directed that the Sulabh toilets of the city should be clean.

 

He said that for the balance of the situation and environmental protection in Alwar city, Matruvan will be developed near the old Bhurasiddh temple, which will be inaugurated on 7th August by planting a large number of saplings.

 

He reviewed the drinking water, electricity, city development trust, PWD and other departments and directed that the schemes of the central and state government should be operated in a coordinated manner with team spirit.

 

During this, Municipal Corporation Mayor Mr. Ghanshyam Gurjar, Alwar District Collector Mr. Ashish Gupta, Superintendent of Police Mr. Anand Sharma and other concerned officials were present.

Union Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Mr. Bhupendra Yadav reached the park located in Ambedkar Nagar of Alwar city on Friday morning and interacted with the people who came for a walk.

 

Union Forest and Environment Minister Mr. Yadav interacted with the people who were visiting. He said that being the MP of Alwar, work will be done to speed up the development works along with taking Alwar district forward in accordance with the sentiments of the general public. He said that the problems of the district will be resolved on priority.

 

During this, he gave the message of environmental protection by planting trees under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign. He appealed to the common people that every person in the district should not only plant a tree in the name of the mother but also take care of it and also inspire the people around them to plant trees.
