The holy land of Pathankot recently witnessed a massive spiritual gathering. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann participated in the “Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam” bhajan sandhya. Thousands of devotees attended the event on Friday, creating an atmosphere of deep devotion and unity.
This event marks a significant milestone in the state government’s ongoing devotional outreach. Officials confirm that similar programs are currently being organized across all 22 districts of Punjab. The leadership aims to celebrate spiritual heritage while promoting a message of brotherhood throughout the region.
A Vision for a Vibrant Punjab
During the event, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed the massive crowd with a powerful message. He emphasized that Punjab’s soil is remarkably fertile for growth and progress. However, he stressed that the “seed of hatred” can never take root in this land.

Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that this is the first time any government in Punjab has organized such large-scale events for Sanatan Dharma. Furthermore, he praised the collaboration between the administration and the spiritual community.
Key religious projects are currently nearing completion under this leadership. For instance, the grand renovation of the Kali Mata Mandir is in its final stages. Simultaneously, plans for a grand Luv Kush Mandir in Amritsar are moving forward to preserve historical heritage.
Expansion of the Tirath Yatra Scheme
Devotional efforts are not limited to local events. The government has also expanded the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra scheme. This initiative provides affordable pilgrimage opportunities for residents across the state.
Starting August 1, three additional routes will become operational. These new paths will connect devotees to major pilgrimage sites, including:
- Khatu Shyam Ji and Salasar Ji
- Haridwar and Rishikesh
- Mathura and Vrindavan
The leadership believes these initiatives strengthen the cultural fabric of the state. By facilitating access to sacred sites, they hope to encourage peace and prosperity for all families.
