The Punjab Government has announced a new initiative focused on the welfare and care of senior citizens. According to information , a Senior Citizens’ Home in Mohali will be established in Sector-78, Mohali, to provide better facilities and support for elderly residents.
Cabinet Minister Dr Baljit Singh shared details about the upcoming project and highlighted the government’s commitment towards ensuring a safe and supportive environment for senior citizens.
3 Acres of Land Allocated for Elderly Care Facility
The proposed Senior Citizens’ Home in Mohali will be developed on a 3-acre land area in Sector-78. The facility aims to provide essential services and a comfortable living environment for elderly people.

Day Care Center to Be Built Inside the Home
As part of the Senior Citizens’ Home in Mohali, a dedicated Day Care Center will also be constructed within the premises. The center will provide additional support, activities, and facilities for senior citizens.
