Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has officially launched the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana in Dhuri, calling it a historic step towards women’s welfare and financial empowerment in the state. What is Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana?
The Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana has been introduced to offer monthly financial support to eligible women across Punjab. Under the scheme, women from the general category will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹1,000, while women belonging to the Dalit community will be provided ₹1,500 per month.
According to the Chief Minister, the initiative is designed to strengthen the financial position of women and provide additional support to economically weaker households.
First Installment Credited Directly to Beneficiaries
As part of the launch of the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, the Punjab government has transferred the first installment directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Women received a total amount of ₹4,500 covering the months of July, August, and September. During the launch event in Dhuri, many beneficiaries reportedly received payment confirmation messages on their mobile phones, showcasing the immediate implementation of the scheme.

Speaking about the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, Bhagwant Mann said that the government has implemented the scheme with proper planning to ensure its continuity in the years ahead.
