Chandigarh: The Punjab government’s ongoing anti-corruption campaign under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has gained further momentum, with the Vigilance Bureau arresting 12 government officials in a single month for alleged bribery cases. The arrests were made during 10 separate trap operations conducted across various departments in April.

According to officials, the action reflects the state government’s firm stance under the Punjab anti-corruption drive to eliminate corruption from public offices. The Vigilance Bureau has been actively targeting corrupt practices through coordinated operations, ensuring accountability among government employees.

Punjab Anti-Corruption Drive Being Implemented Strictly Without Fear or Favour, Say Authorities

Reiterating the government’s commitment, authorities stated that the Punjab anti-corruption drive is being implemented strictly without fear or favour. The recent arrests send a strong message that corruption in any form will not be tolerated within state departments.
