New Delhi: The latest Delhi weather conditions continue to remain extreme, with the national capital experiencing intense heat. According to the India Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature touched around 42°C, with heatwave conditions prevailing across the city under a yellow alert.
As per the Delhi weather forecast, temperatures are likely to stay between 43°C and 45°C, making outdoor conditions uncomfortable and increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses. Residents have been advised to take precautions, including staying hydrated and avoiding direct sunlight during peak hours.
However, the Delhi weather is expected to change from Tuesday, bringing gradual relief. Cloudy skies, thunderstorms, and rainfall are predicted to lower temperatures to around 40–42°C, with a further dip to 39–41°C by Wednesday. By Thursday, temperatures could drop closer to 37°C, offering significant respite from the ongoing heatwave.
Storms and Dust Winds Expected
The Delhi weather outlook also suggests strong dust storms and gusty winds across Delhi-NCR. Weather observers have indicated wind speeds of 40–80 km/h, followed by short spells of moderate to heavy rainfall and thundershowers. These storms may last between 15 to 45 minutes, with light drizzle continuing in some areas afterward.

Thunderstorms may also bring lightning and thunder, though the chances of hailstorms remain low.
Heatwave Continues in Several States
While relief is expected in the capital, the Delhi weather pattern reflects a broader heatwave across parts of northwest and central India. States like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Gujarat are likely to continue experiencing high temperatures over the next few days.
Overall, the Delhi weather forecast indicates that while the heatwave remains intense for now, changing conditions and incoming rainfall will soon provide much-needed relief to residents.
