Currently, Punjab has 40 lakh NFSA beneficiaries, who were previously entitled only to wheat. Under the new scheme, which is set to begin from April 1, 2026, the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department will provide specialized ration kits to beneficiaries every three months.

Meri Rasoi  : Each kit will contain –

  • 2 kg Dal
  • 2 kg Sugar
  • 1 kg Iodized Salt
  • 200 grams Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Litre Mustard Oil

The initiative aims to ensure a more comprehensive and nutritious food supply for the state’s NFSA cardholders, strengthening food security and supporting underprivileged families across Punjab.
