Chandigarh : Haryana Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana announced that the state government will invest in modern machinery for veterinary polyclinics and hospitals to provide affordable and advanced treatment for livestock farmers.
The decision follows approval by the High Powered Purchase Committee, chaired by Minister Rana, which sanctioned the purchase of gas anaesthesia machines, ultrasound equipment, blood testing devices, and the establishment of Biosafety Level-2 (BSL-2) labs. Haryana Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda, a committee member, was also present.
Minister Shyam Singh Rana highlighted that gas anaesthesia machines will be installed across animal polyclinics, enabling safer and more precise surgeries. Unlike injectable anaesthesia, gas-based methods allow controlled dosage, faster recovery, and reduced strain on vital organs, ensuring effective pain management for both large and small animals.
