Now, Sunita has decided to respond to the ongoing gossip, speaking openly and emotionally about her marriage.

In a recent vlog, Sunita Ahuja addressed questions about her relationship during an interaction with journalists at her home. When asked whether she could forgive Govinda, her reply was honest yet conditional.
She described him as her childhood love and said that forgiveness would depend on change. According to her, if he mends his ways and lives according to mutual understanding, she would consider forgiving him. At the same time, she made it clear that she is tired of the constant media reports and does not wish to hear more speculation about their personal life.
Sunita Ahuja also spoke candidly about the emotional strain she is experiencing. She shared that at this stage of life—especially while going through menopause—women need emotional support from their husbands and children. She explained that fluctuating emotions make this period challenging and that love and reassurance are more important than stress.

When asked whether she had directly questioned Govinda about the rumours, Sunita Ahuja revealed that he often avoids giving clear answers. She said he tends to laugh off such topics, leaving her without any real clarity.

She also noted that earlier in their marriage, Govinda was deeply influenced by his mother. After her passing, she felt he became more carefree and, in her view, influenced by questionable company.
Sunita Ahuja further mentioned that she once played a key role in managing his professional life. She claimed that while she handled his work, she took great care of him. However, with new managers now in charge, she feels he has not fully accepted that his peak stardom has passed.

Married since 1987, the couple share two children, Yashvardhan Ahuja and Tina Ahuja.
In December last year, Sunita acknowledged hearing rumours about an alleged affair involving Govinda. In an earlier conversation with Etimes, she stated that she considered 2025 a difficult year due to ongoing controversy. She dismissed claims involving an actress and suggested that any such individual might be motivated by financial interests rather than genuine affection.
Reports of a possible divorce intensified in 2025. However, during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at their residence, the couple publicly denied separation rumours while speaking to the media.
