Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has been released from jail after spending nearly 11 days behind bars. The actor had been lodged in Tihar Jail in connection with a cheque bounce case. Now, he has finally walked free.

Speaking to the media after his release, Rajpal Yadav expressed happiness and thanked his supporters for standing by him during the difficult time.

After coming out of jail, Rajpal Yadav shared his feelings with the media. He said, “It has been nearly 30 years for me in Bollywood. Every child in this country has supported me. This matter has been ongoing since 2012-13. The entire Indian cinema audience — children, elders, and youth — have stood by me. Everyone knows what my intention was. Wherever the court has directed me to appear, I have done so and will continue to do so. I cannot speak much about legal matters.”

He further added, “I have received immense support. People are showering love on social media. Around 150 crore people of the country have given me love. My relationship with the audience is purely for entertainment. I am grateful for the love Bollywood has given me. Whatever allegations are against me, I am available everywhere to face them.”

Rajpal Yadav had surrendered on February 5 in connection with the cheque bounce case. A hearing was held on Thursday, but he did not receive relief at that time. The actor had requested bail to attend his niece’s wedding, but the court rejected his plea.

Later, on Monday, February 16, the court heard his bail application again and granted him relief. He was released from jail on February 17.

According to reports, in 2010, Rajpal Yadav had borrowed ₹5 crore from a businessman to produce a film. However, the film failed at the box office, and he suffered heavy losses. He was unable to repay the borrowed amount on time, and the debt reportedly increased to ₹9 crore with interest.

As he was unable to clear the dues, the matter escalated legally, and he eventually chose to surrender before the court.
