Yogi Adityanath Performs Rudrabhishek in Gorakhpur, Extends Mahashivratri Wishes to Devotees

UP CM offers prayers at Barohiya Shiv Temple and Gorakhnath Temple, prays for devotees at Triveni Sangam during Magh Mela.

Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday offered prayers and performed Rudrabhishek at the Barohiya Shiv Temple in Gorakhpur on the occasion of Mahashivratri. He also carried out the sacred ritual at the Gorakhnath Temple as part of the festival observances.

Extending his wishes on the auspicious day, Yogi Adityanath prayed for devotees who gathered at the Triveni Sangam in Tirtharaj Prayag to take the holy dip. In a message posted on X, he conveyed his heartfelt greetings to saints, religious leaders, Kalpavasis and devotees participating in the sacred bathing ritual during the Magh Mela.

Yogi Adityanath Seeks Divine Blessings for Peace and Prosperity

Yogi Adityanath prayed that the blessings of Lord Shiva and Mother Ganga remain with all devotees, seeking the fulfilment of their spiritual pursuits and heartfelt wishes. Concluding his message with “Har Har Mahadev,” he expressed hope for peace, prosperity and divine grace for everyone.

Mahashivratri, observed with immense devotion across India, commemorates the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Devotees mark the festival by fasting, offering prayers and keeping night-long vigils to seek blessings.

Meanwhile, large numbers of devotees thronged the Sangam ghats in Prayagraj to participate in the Mahashivratri snan during the ongoing Magh Mela, adding to the spiritual fervour of the occasion.
