Yogi Adityanath Highlights UP’s Economic Achievements Ahead of Budget Session

Governor’s address and Economic Survey presented as CM appeals to lawmakers for meaningful discussions to accelerate development.

Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday addressed mediapersons ahead of the commencement of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s budget session, emphasizing dialogue and constructive participation over disruption.

The CM Yogi Adityanath noted that this session marks the 10th budget of his government and will run from February 9 to February 20, with the General Budget for 2026-27 scheduled for presentation on February 11.

Governor’s Address and Economic Survey in Focus

Yogi Adityanath highlighted that the session would begin with the Governor’s address, which outlines the government’s achievements and future action plans. Following this, for the first time, the Economic Survey of Uttar Pradesh will be presented in the House. The survey will provide a detailed account of the state’s economic performance, including per capita income growth, employment generation, and UP’s sustained status as a revenue-surplus state over the past five years. The CM said that this document will serve as a key reference for members to discuss the state’s developmental journey.

Call for Dialogue and Participation : Yogi Adityanath

The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged all members to communicate their issues respectfully rather than interrupt proceedings, stressing that the legislature functions effectively through dialogue. “The government values the suggestions of each member and remains committed to taking necessary steps in the state’s interest,” he added. Opposition members were specifically requested to avoid unnecessary disruptions during discussions.

Budget Session to Accelerate Development

CM Yogi Adityanath underscored the session’s importance in further accelerating Uttar Pradesh’s growth trajectory. He highlighted that the last nine years have set new benchmarks in legislative proceedings and urged members to focus on meaningful discussions that address public concerns.

Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Cabinet Ministers Suresh Khanna, Swatantra Dev Singh, Rakesh Sachan, and Minister of State Baldev Singh Aulakh were present during the briefing.
