Uttar Pradesh : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a firm stance on accidents caused by Chinese manjha, stating that any such incident in the state will be considered the direct responsibility of local police and administrative officials. He has warned that strict action will be taken against those found negligent.
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed authorities to dismantle the entire network involved in the production, sale, and use of Chinese manjha. A comprehensive campaign has been launched across the state to curb its circulation. Yogi Adityanath emphasized that deaths caused by Chinese manjha should not be treated as ordinary accidents but as serious incidents akin to murder. He assured that no one involved will be spared.

Awareness Campaigns Launched in Schools and Colleges : Yogi Adityanath
Authorities have been instructed to conduct rigorous inspections of wholesalers, warehouses, transportation channels, and online suppliers in every district. The government aims to ensure that sugar-coated manjha is neither sold nor stored anywhere in the state.
A nodal officer will be appointed in each district to monitor the issue round-the-clock, including illegal sales in markets and on digital platforms, ensuring immediate action.
Additionally, awareness campaigns will be conducted in schools and colleges to educate children and youth about the dangers of Chinese manjha. Kite sellers across the state have also been issued strict warnings that legal action will be taken if they are found selling it.
