Uttarakhand : Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami took part in the Shiv Katha event in Haldwani on February 5, participating in the Sahaj Jyoti Pujan where he lit 108 ceremonial lamps, praying for the state’s peace, prosperity, and well-being.

Addressing devotees at the event organised by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Dhami described the experience as spiritually fulfilling and expressed pride in participating. He praised the organisation and its founder, Divya Guru Param Pujya Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, for inspiring society through faith, service, and moral values.

Highlighting Kumaon’s rich spiritual heritage, Dhami noted that the region has long been a hub of religion, devotion, and cultural consciousness, with ancient temples, Shiva shrines, sacred water sources, and historical references underlining its Sanatan and Shaiv traditions.

The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of preserving Uttarakhand’s cultural legacy, citing government initiatives such as the Manaskhand Temple Mala Mission Corridor, the revival of Yamuna Tirth at Haripur-Kalsi, the Ganga Corridor in Haridwar-Rishikesh, and the Sharda Corridor, aimed at promoting spiritual tourism and positioning the state nationally and internationally.
