Forensic report confirms Atishi never said “guru” in viral video. AAP accuses BJP of spreading fake content and demands apology.
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday claimed a major vindication after a forensic report allegedly confirmed that Delhi Minister Atishi never used the word “guru” in a controversial video that was circulated on social media and shared by BJP leader Kapil Mishra.
AAP leaders accused the BJP of spreading misinformation and running a deliberate smear campaign against Atishi by circulating a manipulated video clip. According to AAP, the forensic analysis conducted by the Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory has confirmed the findings earlier issued by the Punjab Forensic Lab, establishing that the video was doctored.
Forensic Report में साफ़ साबित हो गया है कि आतिशी जी ने “गुरु” शब्द बोला ही नहीं।

Delhi State Convener of AAP, Saurabh MLA , said the report exposes what he termed the BJP’s “politics of lies.”
“The BJP spread false narratives by circulating a fake video of Atishi ji. Now the truth has come out. The forensic report clearly proves that Atishi ji never uttered the word ‘guru’. Both Punjab and Delhi forensic labs have confirmed the same findings,” he said in a statement.
Saurabh further alleged that the misinformation campaign was aimed at misleading the public and maligning the image of the Delhi minister ahead of crucial political developments. “The truth cannot be hidden for long. Lies eventually collapse under the weight of facts,” he added.
The controversy erupted after a video clip shared by Kapil Mishra went viral, with claims that Atishi had made controversial remarks. AAP leaders immediately challenged the authenticity of the clip and demanded a forensic investigation.
According to party sources, the forensic report examined the audio waveform and metadata of the video and concluded that the disputed word was never spoken by Atishi, indicating possible tampering or misrepresentation of the clip.
AAP has now demanded an apology from the BJP and action against those responsible for spreading what it calls fake and misleading content on social media.
The BJP has yet to issue an official response to the forensic findings.
