Punjab’s PACE Winter Camps 2025 train 1,728 govt school students for IIT, NEET with mentorship, residential support, and top coaching guidance.
PACE Winter Camps 2025: At the Punjab Academic Coaching for Excellence (PACE) program’s Winter Residential Coaching Camps, Punjab’s most talented government school pupils lapped up knowledge. Harjot Singh Bains, the education minister for Punjab, reported that more than 1700 pupils had benefited from the ground-breaking program that democratized access to top-notch competitive test tutoring.
In order to prepare government school students for India’s top professional education institutions, such as IITs, NITs, and AIIMS, the Education Minister reported that 1728 students participated in three centers: Bathinda (601 students, consisting of 359 girls and 242 boys), Ludhiana (573 students, consisting of 327 girls and 246 boys), and SAS Nagar (Mohali) (554 students, consisting of 367 girls and 187 boys).

The winter camps, according to Bains, were one of the department’s largest recruitment efforts and involved a stringent screening procedure. Only the most committed candidates were selected from the cohort after a rigorous, multi-stage selection process that assessed conceptual clarity, academic consistency, performance on standardized mock examinations, and teacher recommendations. The program’s commitment to inclusivity extends well beyond Schools of Eminence and Residential Schools for Meritorious Students, with 20% of spaces reserved at each center for students from other government schools and drop-year candidates, he continued.
According to the Education Minister, the camps provided a thorough educational experience under the guidance of knowledgeable instructors from prestigious coaching organizations including Physics Wallah, Vidya Mandir, and Avanti Fellows. In line with JEE and NEET patterns, an organized curriculum emphasizes advanced problem-solving and concept strengthening. Students’ well-being was preserved through daily doubt-clearing sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and comprehensive development modules on stress management, career counseling, and leisure activities. The students were given a comfortable, distraction-free environment with safe, completely residential facilities,” he said.
He was confident that the Winter Residential Coaching Camps will improve the final preparation of Class 12 candidates and greatly improve the results of competitive exams by giving Class 11 pupils vital early experience. According to him, “last year, 265 students from government schools passed JEE Mains, 45 passed JEE Advanced, and 847 passed NEET, demonstrating that state government schools are now top entry points for the nation’s most prestigious professional careers.”

In order to guarantee the success of the Winter Residential Coaching Camps 2025 under the PACE program, the Punjab government, through the Department of School Education, established extensive administrative and academic arrangements. The camps were intended to be one of the biggest competitive exam support programs for students attending government schools. They were held in three fully residential centers in Ludhiana, Bathinda, and Mohali, and they featured standardized academic planning, centralized monitoring, and consistent curriculum delivery throughout all locations. To guarantee equity and inclusivity, the government set aside 20% of the places at each center for drop-year applicants and students from other government institutions, greatly expanding the advantages beyond Residential institutions for Meritorious Students and Schools of Eminence.
In order to establish a high-intensity, distraction-free study atmosphere, the Punjab government also made sure that complete residential and welfare accommodations were made. Students received safe housing, wholesome meals, 24-hour supervision, and access to counseling and medical assistance.
