Spectacular Nagar Kirtan launched from Srinagar for Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary, with leaders and devotees across Punjab joining.

A spectacular Nagar Kirtan honoring Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary was ceremoniously launched from the ancient Gurdwara Chhathi Patshahi Sahib in Srinagar. Omar Abdullah, the chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, and Bhagwant Singh Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, all graced the event and offered prayers for the welfare of all.
The traditional splendor of the Khalsa marked the beginning of the Nagar Kirtan, and the atmosphere was filled with the lively energy of the sangat and devotional melodies. Before arriving at Sri Anandpur Sahib, the holy city, on November 22, the procession will pass through Jammu, Pathankot, Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, Mahilpur, and Garhshankar. The accompanying devotees will be comfortable thanks to the provision of ambulances, digital museums, langar facilities, and other necessary arrangements.

Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Mann stated that everyone is extremely proud and devoted to remembering Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s tremendous sacrifice. They emphasized how the Ninth Guru’s teachings—peace, humanity, brotherhood, and religious freedom—remain relevant today. Being able to serve during this momentous time is a blessing for the Punjab Government, the leaders continued.

Anandpur Sahib will host the convergence of four Nagar Kirtans on November 22.

Leaders said that the commemorating activities at Delhi’s Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib started on October 25. Large-scale light and sound performances were held in every district of Punjab from November 1 to November 18, and Kirtan Darbars were held in several towns, drawing large crowds.

The convergence of four Nagar Kirtans from various directions at Sri Anandpur Sahib this year promises to be a spectacular spiritual spectacle. On November 20, the other three will begin from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib (Talwandi Sabo), Faridkot, and Gurdaspur. The first started today from Srinagar.

There will be extensive events in Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to 25. A unique tent city called “Chakk Nanki” is being constructed to house thousands of pilgrims. A spectacular drone show, an interfaith conference, a special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly on November 24, exhibitions showcasing the life of the Guru, and a state-level blood donation camp and plantation campaign on November 25 are all part of the celebrations.

Additionally, spiritual leaders from all across the world have been invited to participate in these momentous occasions. A number of ministers, MPs, top officials, and saints attended the event.
