Concerning the Movie

The sequel, which was directed by Anshul Sharma, picks off where the original installment left off. Winning over her parents is an even more difficult task for Ashish (Ajay Devgn) when he is successful in persuading his family of his connection with the considerably younger Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh). While some songs are effective, others seem superfluous—spots when you wish the plot would go on instead. Several of the gags in the screenplay are based on real-life events, particularly those involving Jaaved Jaaferi and his son Meezaan, who also appear in the movie. There’s also a humorous poke at Kajol and Ajay Devgn, as well as a fun Singham reference.”
